Palin: L.A. Times Wins Pulitzer Prize For Kowtowing PLUS My Take On Obama’s Infomercial

For those that are not a walking lexicon, I give you: kowtowing.

kowtow |ˈkouˈtou| verb [intransitive] historical

kneel and touch the ground with the forehead in worship or submission as part of Chinese custom.

• figurative act in an excessively subservient manner she didn’t have to kowtow to a boss.

ORIGIN early 19th cent.: from Chinese kētóu, from kē ‘knock’ tóu ‘head.’

The direct translation of the root words is “knock heads.” While the L.A. Times bows in submission to Sen. Obama, Gov. Palin is running around the swing states ‘knocking a few heads’ of her own.

I don’t watch infomercials on anything — ever. If I do catch a 30-60 second spot, I always make fun of them. Ask my wife. I use stupid quotes from them all the time and even take the liberty of rewriting their scripts and reciting them when they come on. She’s gracious enough to laugh. But 60 seconds is my max. Anything longer, I tune out.

So you can imagine that after seeing the 1:17 Obama Infomercial teaser I was done. He lost me in the first 30 seconds. No chance of me actually sitting down for 30 minutes of socialist America bashing indoctrination. No no, if he’s elected, there will be at least four years of state-run media and so much propaganda it will become a clinical syndrome.

But getting elected is the big ‘if’ at this point. Rasmussen is releasing polling data today that will show McCain is now more favorably viewed on the economy as well as foreign policy and national security. Thank you, Joe the Plumber and Barack the Wealth Spreader.

Now when you consider this incident and how much of the Jewish vote should abandon Obama, especially in must win Florida, it would appear McCain is surging again at just the right time. The Gallup, Rasmussen, and IBD/TIPP daily tracking polls show McCain within the 3% margin of error now. National tracking polls typically lead state polls by a few days. Look for McCain to surge in battleground states as well by the end of the week.

Don’t surprised when it happens simply because the media hasn’t reported on this. They’ve only sought to besmirch the Governor. The truth is: the media has spent so much time kowtowing over Obama, they missed one key aspect regarding Governor Palin: she’s not just a pretty face.

  1. Yes, you do that during infomercials and it’s not annoying at all *cough cough*
