Fourth Night in Disney World

We decided to take it a bit slower today and visited Downtown Disney. We stopped at this place selling pearls. Cara had the opportunity to pick her oyster and harvest the pearl. They say the average is about 5mm. Cara got a creamy white one about 8.5mm! We decided to set it as a pendant and she couldn’t have been more excited.

We walked around and visited all the shops and then headed over to Epcot for dinner at Les Chefs de France. This was yet another spectacular dinner. Everyone there was from France and spoke it well. Their English was good too.

Cara had escargots (snail) as her prélude and I had the pâté and fresh greens. For dinner we both chose the breast of duck and leg confit with mashed sweet potato and green beans. For dessert, Cara had a Brittany butter cookie with rhubarb-strawberry compote and a strawberry-mint sorbet. I picked the chocolate mouse with coconut ice cream and a banana pâté.

It was amazing and the quality of service was exceptional. When we were leaving, our waiter even stopped us again and shook our hands and thanked us for joining them.

We finished in perfect time to get a great spot for IllumiNations. It was as spectacular as ever. When we got back we took a riverboat ride to end the evening.

We included some photos from the day. The first is our room on the corner of the third floor. The second is Cara shopping. Third is our view from the restaurant and fourth is a picture of the inside décor. The final photo is from the fireworks.
